The Green Wheel

The Green Wheel is a 45 mile long cycle network around Peterborough with 'spokes' of other cycle routes that lead out from the city centre. The South Peterborough Green Parks project has been able to improve the surfacing of the route at the following key locations:

Crown Lakes to Hampton Vale via Stanground Lode (2km section re-surfaced).

Stanground Lock to King’s Dyke (3km section re-surfaced).

Hampton to A1(M) via Haddon Lake (3.5km section re-surfaced).

North Bank to Pearce's Road via Flag Fen visitor centre (1.5km section re-surfaced).

North Bank from Fitzwilliam Bridge to Shanks Millennium Bridge (3km section re-surfaced).

Crown Lakes hill (300m section re-surfaced).

Newly constructed section of cycle route that connects the Hampton Vale leisure routes to the Greeen Wheel at Eagle Way (300m section installed).
